Trama L'eterna illusione

Tony è l'erede di Anthony Kirby, un ricco magnate che pensa esclusivamente a guadagnare di più. La situazione prende una piega imprevista quando il ragazzo si innamora della sua segretaria, figlia di una famiglia di personaggi stravaganti, i Sycamore-Vanderhof. Inoltre suo padre è intenzionato ad acquistare il terreno dove abitano questi ultimi, che non sono per nulla intenzionati a cederne la proprietà. Ciò nonostante i due giovani intendono sposarsi e un incontro tra i rispettivi genitori rischierà di prendere derive impreviste.
